Assessment System - Camera and Microphone Problems

A working camera and microphone are required to attend the exam. Make sure your microphone is not muted during the exam.

 

The Video Recording step is not completed. Webcam sharing gets errors without being asked

You may have blocked the camera. You must grant permission for the Camera by clicking the icon on the left side of the address bar.

 

I clicked the "Block" button on the camera and the microphone pop-up. I click the "Retry" button to retrieve but the permission pop-up does not appear. 

 

 

You should change your choice by following the steps below;

  • Go to    button on the upper right corner of the browser.
  • Click the "Settings"

  • Open "Camera Permissions"

  • You will see Witwiser on the block list
  • Click Witwiser line and change to "Allow" the camera and microphone permissions. 

 

The voice recognition step is not completed.

You may have blocked the microphone. You have to give permission for the Microphone by clicking the icon  on the left side of the address bar. 

       

I accidentally blocked the microphone use permission. The permission pop-up doesn't pop up again and I can't confirm.

 

 

The permission selection can be changed by following the steps below;

  • Click the button  in the upper right corner of the browser.
  • The "Settings" screen opens.
  • Go to the "Site Settings" screen.

           

  • Click on the "Microphone" lines under the permissions heading.

              

  • Witwiser appears in the blocked list on this screen.
  • On the screen opened by clicking on the Witwiser line, the Microphone selections are changed to "Allow".

 

If there is no Camera Permission from the Operating System

You have to go into the camera settings in your operating system and allow your applications to access the camera.
