My microphone is broken/missing, can I take the exam?

Solution

We are really sorry. You must have a working microphone to start the online exam. According to the security criteria set for the exam, you must take the exam with a real microphone. Virtual microphones are not allowed.

I have a microphone but I Audio verification step is failing. I can't verify the microphone.

You may have blocked the microphone. 

You have to give permission for the Microphone by clicking the icon on the left side of the address bar. 

I accidentally blocked the microphone use permission. The permission pop-up doesn't pop up again and I can't confirm.

You have to go into the microphone settings in your operating system and allow your applications to access the microphone.

In the Device Manager window, find the microphone you want to use under the "Audio inputs and outputs" heading and select the "Enable device" option.

If virtual microphone applications are installed on the computer where the exam is taken, these applications should be deleted from the computer.
If an external microphone is used, the computer's camera must be disabled via "Device Manager".

• Right-click on unused microphones and select "Disable device".
